I can still drive, but if i ever go heavy on the pedal I am sure it will harm it. So I took my socket wrench to home depot and looked for a nut that would fit in a 12mm socket nicely. I could not find anything but a standard size nut and it fits loosely. From what I read, the 12mm should be width across the flats.
