Taylor is our hero. We are so proud she chose organ donation but with that comes the most horrific pain their loved ones sacrifice on their behalf. An Honor Walk is a tradition by the hospital for organ and tissue donors. Caregivers, doctors, friends, family, all are welcome to line the hall as Chantal is led from the ICU to surgery all while one of her favorite songs is blasted. The LifeCenter Northwest Team was able to place her heart, kidneys and liver so she can live on. Honor Walks also offer hospital staff an opportunity to recognize the heroism of their patient. How it works. Many hospitals across the country have begun to hold Honor Walks when they are requested or approved by a donor’s family.
