Before you remove, try to calibrate 3 times within 20 minutes. If no response then I would call Dexcom. In the future, I have had great success in placing the sensor in for 24 hours in advance before activating. This allows the sensor to acclimate and give better readings when it is finally activated after the 24 hours.

I always heard if its a bleeder, its a reader. Meaning you can get more accurate readings from the ones with a little blood but I've never had one bleed that much. If you want to clean it out, you can take a guitar clip or lancet strips and disengage the clips on the sensor to remove the transmitter for a minute or two to get it wet or wipe it ... call dexcom and ask for a replacement. we should all know this and practice this, you will need to tell them what the situation is and they will help. tbh if it’s bleeding that much i’d replace it with another. call dexcom and they’ll replace it for you, just tell them you were using an abdomen site.
