It will close almost all the way and then it stops and reopens, but if you push on the door slightly while it's closing it will close all the way. It just seems to need a little help.

Jul 2, 2018 · The battery died and locked the driver side sliding door open. The road side mechanic was able to push open the clasp with a metal bar from the spare tire kit. At the bottom of the sliding door is a metal arm which holds the door from closing on you, a small clasp when pushed was able to release the door enough that we could close it manually. Disconnect where the opening/closing cables attach do the door. Then it'll slide freely. Then you can decide whether you want to remove the whole motor or leave it in there. I'd disconnect the power to it so it doesn't beep at times.
