Jun 22, 2009 · Sorry to be playing devil's advocate. But one thing to remember about waitlist movement is that most schools over accept. Some schools accept twice the size of their entering class assuming half of the students accepted will withdraw. If more than that number withdraw then there is waitlist movement. The chances of actually getting off the waitlist depends on the school. In general higher ranked schools see less waitlist movement.The waitlists really depend on the school, so SDN is your best bet for figuring out how much movement there is/could be. This link from AMCAS can tell you how long the waitlists usually are at all of the schools and how many people typically get off the waitlist. Historically, the major movement tends to be after the PTE deadline in early May.
