It's still early days, a week ago TOTK had emulation issues with major graphical problems that have been resolved. Also Yuzu recently had a update that made a huge FPS boost on lower power systems. Idk about crashing but iirc ambient occlusion was the main thing that was an issue with 1080p. I've been using 1080p mod with no issues, maybe make sure the 1080p mod is for the correct version of your game, I think chucks original 1080p mod is only good for 1.1.0, there's another one for 1.1.1 and 1.1.2. idk who but it's in the TOTK mod manager

Instead of using the Lazy Pack Generator, I ended up installing the mods for TOTK 1.2.0 manually. It was a little tedious, but I just copied the example mods and high end settings from the screenshot in the Guide folder.
