it's because you used the save file that already had the maximum hearts/stamina. there is probably a separate value in the files that disables upgrading completely once you reached the maximum. just make a fresh save file and edit that instead. or just use the editor to manually give you the upgrade. Actually, max stamina still lets you have all three bars of temp stamina, while max hearts prevents you from using more than 3 (2 with DLC) temp hearts. Having max stamina makes more sense. Reply reply
