Oct 3, 2021. #1. So, my Amock Draumr 5.0 arrived on Friday, 5 days earlier than estimated (it was exciting watching it fly here on the tracking site). I'll post several updates in this thread as I try it out and see if I'll be keeping it. First problem (which I anticipated) it does NOT work with my current hammock stand. 606. I just picked up a Warbonnet Eldorado lightweight double layer and have found it to have less calf ridge than some other single-layer gathered-end hammocks. (I’ve also tried the XLC 1.7 single-layer and a Chameleon single-layer.). I surmise that the double-layer has less stretch and therefore less calf ridge.

I create a loop of shock cord - probably 3/16 but not sure. Maybe 8 inches long. Then I loop a line lock onto that and then that onto the buckles on the tarp. It seems a loaded hammock on the same line would either decrease the tarp ridge line so it would sag, or impart more force across the ridge line than originally intended. I suppose, if it was pulling with more force, that some bungee in the setup would protect the tarp from undue strain.
