My 2006 foreman 500 FS 4x4's battery will hold a charge on a brand new battery for about 3-4 hours of riding. The 4wd light will start to flash and at that point it doesnt have much juice left. Ive done a little research and dont know hwo to tell if my problem is the stator or regulator, or if its something else?

I have been watching you-tube on how to test a stator but the ones that they are testing in the video has 3 wires and my stator has 5 wires coming out of the engine. 3 wires that go to 1 Plug and the 2 other wires that go to another Plug.
