I was recently eying some of the Kirkland brand spirits at the local Costco, and am wondering if anyone here has any particular recommendations. My default drink is a highball, but anything that is good enough to sip is a bonus, and I also know how to make a good number of the classic cocktails.

We know that because the names of the two Scottish regions are mentioned on the bottle. But here's the catch, Speyside has over 50 distilleries and Islay is literally called the "whisky island" since it has a ton of distilleries.
