Gun: Tactical Custom II Problem: Failure to feed last round in magazine Details: With both hollowpoint and ball ammo, I was having a failure to feed on the last round in the magazine, maybe 5% of the time. I tried Kimber magazines, Wilson magazines (7 and 8 round), and Cobra mags. My 10 mm is beautiful , wont feed a single round. They say shoot them they will break in . I had to slide the rounds in one at a time by hand. You cannot put a mag in and let it slide forward .It all comes down to which looks better to you. I think the Eclipse is the best looking Kimber. I don't care a lot for the scaling on the Raptors, but it all comes down to personal opinion. Both are great guns that will give you, and your son/grandson, a lifetime of enjoyment if they are taken care of properly.The Kimber Custom LW Shadow Ghost is relatively easy to clean. Takedown is standard for a 1911 with a full-length guide rod. Detailed instructions on disassembly, lubrication, and reassembly are easy to follow per the manual. A sheet of paper in the plastic case the gun came in has cleaning and lube instructions.I went to the range yesterday with my new Kimber Custom II. I loaded Hornady Critical Duty in both Kimber and after market magazines. Neither magazine would feed the 175gr 10mm bullets. The whole time it shot around the center, rapid fire or slow. It's been several years since I've owned a 1911, and this is my first full-size Kimber.
