King Cobra and/or Python owners. I was at the gun store looking at both a Colt King Cobra Target and a Python today, both wood grips, both 4 inches. I didn’t shoot them, but dry fired both several times and looked them over while talking with the employee. I wasn’t quite ready to buy so I thanked him for letting me check them out and left.

It's even beefier than my GP-100. I do not see any world where the 6" Python is a viable carry gun for most users. That said, it's not like the King Cobra Target is going to fall apart. I've said this before around here, but the KCT is actually a better replacement for the 4" Diamondback of old as opposed to the King Cobra of old.Both guns are excellent choices and whichever one you decide on you'll be happy with. Both both are very different as well and that will determine your choice. There are two big differences. First do you want a hammerless or exposed hammer model. The second is the cylinder latch. The kimber is a push button type.

There were several companies (B-Square?) who made optic mounts that clamped on the ventilated rib. I have similar on my HS .22 Victor's rib, and the mount works well.
