Initial impressions, it shoots completely flat, with my RMR I can easily and consistently hit a torso size steel at 100 yds without bracing the pistol. The .44 mag has a lot more energy. That matters with Grizzly Bears and large Black Bears. If you are on the east coast, it won't matter so much and even a .45 ACP with +P and Ball Ammo should do for that.
