My first shotgun was a Topper 20ga. I've loved the H&R/NEF guns ever since. I have no documentation to prove it, but I feel like 16ga had much lower production than any other of theirs besides maybe 28ga. I've always assumed this was because 16ga was well into its decline in popularity by the time Topper and Pardner were a thing.
