Purchased and installed an aftermarket intercooler and then pulled the TB off to clean and lube. It took about 20 minutes of working the throttle plate back and forth with my fingers, but finally got full range of motion back. Reinstalled the TB, and code P1614 was gone, but unfortunately replaced by code P0106.
Codes that come on are: P1661, U16A5, U0401, U0129. Checked all of the forums. Found battery to have twisted/melted terminal on left side, checked for voltage, voltage good, replaced battery anyway. New Member. Sep 11, 2011. #1. Here is the story, looking for any advice at this point! Took 2007 GTI-se 155hp to dealer for oil change. After pick up rode on lake for 10 minutes, received oil alarm and code p1520. Secured engine, lit it off, rode it up to 3500 rpms, same result, oil light, alarm and code p1520. Checked oil level, looked perfect.
Tried moving it without gate attached and nothing. Says its in IBR override mode, but moving buttons does nothing, no sounds, no movement, then cluster times out. I had pulled each fuse and cleaned them up. One had a loose leg which was replaced - the fuse for charging. It's showing a C2161 code - battery. Battery has been charged and load tested.
