Homepod blinking volume.

I recently bought a HomePod from eBay, it is a fairly used. When I tried to pair it to my iPhone 11 Pro Max, it refused to be connected. I tried to reset it and it can’t be reset. But it will start up and the volume light keeps blinking. Please help with any solution.HomePod turns back on, I tapped it to wake it up. If anyone stumbles on this thread: go to control center. long press the media area (it should show your music or tv, whatever your HomePod is defaulted to) click on “control other speakers and tv” button at the bottom. tap on your iPhone. The diode frying has nothing to do with blinking volume buttons. Fried diode will simply prevent the HomePod from powering on and responding to anything. It’s on the amplifier board, far away from the logic board.
