Feb 19, 2017 · For your sake, I hope it is the gasket shown as #12 and not the internal spool valve gasket. The internal gasket failed on my 2007 and there is no available replacement short of replacing the entire spool valve.

If you’re at all mechanically inclined there’s an easy work around involving reusing one of the old spool valve gaskets, a cheap knock off gasket, and some Honda ... Save yourself from tearing apart the front head to fix this oil leak. Sadly, Honda doesn't sell the gasket and you need to buy the whole VTEC assembly, this also requires you to remove the front valve cover and camshaft assembly to replace it. Make sure the assembly (that is taken apart in the video) is squeaky clean.

Take the car to Honda dealer, and its diagnosed with a leaking VTEC spool valve which leaked oil on alternator. Both needed to be replaced at a cost of $1750.
