6.7 exhaust brake problems. Ok guys I have a 07.5 6.7 with 150,000 miles on it. I have the egr/cooler delete, and the dpf delete, and running the XRT. When I decel on a hill the EB with pulsate when around 2100 rpm, it comes on strong them backs off, comes on strong then backs off, when it gets down to about 1600 or so it settles down.

Hi all, recently picked up a 1999 Kenworth T600 with a 12.7 Detroit and a 10 Speed. Previous owner told me that he thought I needed some sort of module to get the jakes, cruise and high idle to work. Most everything else on the truck works great except the fuel gauge (which I'll also address soon).

Exhaust brakes are wonderful on the big mogs. Should make the brakes last 3 or 4 times longer. If you are engine braking going down hill, shift, and the Claas overdrive misses a gear and drops into neutral, the next press of the exhaust brake will also kill the engine. Not fun at 60 mph, LOL.
