If the file is a .EXE file it won't work on Mac. Otherwise it should work. Gshade works for Mac! Any videos you might have seen telling you it doesn't work ok on a Mac are old ones. I believe it used to only work for Windows and Linux, but they've since updated it, and it'll work on your Macbook just fine!PLEASE go and click on your MXAO settings and turn the quality down. My computer by some miracle can handle it on ultra, but it can make your computer slow if it can't handle it. It is easily fixable by turning it to Medium or lower depending on what your computer can run. It’s honestly super confusing and i can’t find tutorials anywhere and at first i was pretty sure that it just couldn’t be used with sims because of the crossover software and it has to be ran through that not Origin, and ugh it’s beyond confusing for me.

When you go back to your "Bin" folder (The Sims 4 > Game > Bin) you should see a folder called "reshade-shaders". Double click on it, and you'll see 2 folders: "Shaders" and "Textures". Drag and drop all the files contained in "Shaders" from the Legacy pack (you downloaded in Step 1) into your "shaders" folder (in "Bin").Btw if you use reshade you need to take screenshots with the screenshot button in tab mode, instead of using the C button.
