The full size shiftpods are massive to move around: fine for playa and other substantial car camping missions, but definitely more of a hassle than normal tents.

Thanks shiftpod! The biggest issue you are going to have, (If it's a Shiftpod 2), are the Zipper pulls. Treat your zippers VERY carefully. Lubrication seems to make them worse. I've had 4 zipper pulls fail on both doors. ShiftPod vs RV Camping. Sup ya'll - we are way closer to Burning Man that it seems! This will be my sixth burn.. each year I've stayed in a 6-person Coleman, which has been decent. I'd recommend that set-up to all who need a cheap setup as it def did the job and felt cozy at times.

Yes, and it's awesome! Took it out for a trip on the norcal coast already and the Shiftpod made everything so comfortable and fun. The new hubs do take a lot of resistance to push, though; I had a difficult time popping the whole shelter open. Stayed TOASTY warm in mid-30s with a propane Buddy Heater going and all the windows open.

Shiftpod was designed for summer use at burning man. Having used it, it's great. There are vents all around if you don't have portable AC. The whole thing is shiny and reflects heat. It's also great in the winter with a Mr Buddy, as it is somewhat insulated.
